Customer Spotlight: DHTMLX Suite For Wise Data Global

As the digital transformation of industrial sectors accelerates, web technologies are playing an increasingly vital role in powering real-time monitoring, data visualization, and control systems. A solid proof of this point comes from Wise Data Global, a Chilean tech company specializing in remote monitoring, telemetry, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions with the use of our JavaScript UI widgets library. Today, we meet with Salvador Aspee and Jose Vazquez, co-founders of Wise Data Global, and hear from them how DHTMLX Suite helps them in delivering advanced tools for various industry sectors.

Could you please tell us about your project and how DHTMLX fits in?
Wise Data Global provides comprehensive web solutions for telemetry, monitoring, M2M, and industrial IoT platforms. We use different kinds of RTUs (remote terminal units) / gateways to get data from remote sensors and present it in different kinds of platforms. Taking over from WiseAccess, the company closed down years ago, we continue using DHTMLX Suite. Previously, we used Suite 5, and now we are starting to use version 9.

We use Suite’s widgets to enable components in the platform. We have a desk with various tabs, where our clients can see data presented with graphics, charts, and other elements. We also use your widgets to implement functionalities for managing data.

Did you compare DHTMLX Suite with any alternatives on the market before making the final choice?
We used Suite 5 for a long time, it was natural for us to migrate to the latest Suite version. We were happy with v5 and had no reason to refuse using the newer version.

Do you have any suggestions on what can be improved in DHTMLX Suite?
We would recommend adding some advanced controls to Suite. For instance, we’d love to be able to build diagrams with Suite. We have WisePower, a web-based SCADA platform, for energy companies, where we use our custom editor based on GoJS to build diagrams for showing electrical distribution networks and other visualizations.

Did you try DHTMLX Diagram for this purpose?
Not yet, but we plan to do it. We have some clients who need a diagram solution. We checked this diagramming component on your website, and we’ll give it a try shortly.

Which technologies do you use along with DHTMLX Suite on the front-end and back-end?
On the frontend, it is pure JavaScript without any IDE, while the backend is written in .NET.

Are there any other insights about your project that you want to share with the public?
Well, we have plenty of solutions for various industry companies based on various tools, including DHTMLX, but all of these platforms are developed 100% in-house. Some of our platforms are built with Suite 5, but we continue migrating to the latest version of your library and hope to complete it soon.

Thank you very much for sharing the story of your company and the application scenarios of DHTMLX Suite in your projects. We appreciate your commitment to using our JavaScript widgets and wish you all success and prosperity in the future.
