With the growing role of resource management in today’s complex business workflows, many organizations rely on advanced software for resource planning. One of such planning tools is Flexpep, provided by the Swiss company Dits Digital Solutions. Today, we are happy to meet with Lukas Dieterle, the founder of this project, who’ll share with us how DHTMLX Scheduler helps his customers manage their resources efficiently.
Could you tell us about your project and your role in it?
I’m the founder of the company Dits Digital Solutions, specializing in custom resource planning solutions for the business world. We’ve been using DHTMLX Scheduler for 4-5 years as a part of our planning tool called Flexpep. We extended the functionality of the Scheduler component with our own features and customizations. Now, it helps us in delivering scheduling functionalities for our customers, including call centers, logistics services, home visit services, etc.
Also, we plan to extend the use of DHTMLX tools in the future. We are interested in the DHTMLX Booking widget. I think that it will be our next step.
Why did you choose DHTMLX over other components available in the market?
Several factors influenced my choice in favor of DHTMLX:
- Advanced functionality
- Easy migration process
- Good documentation
- Quick technical support
- Suitable design
What are the most helpful DHTMLX Scheduler features for your project?
We really like working with Scheduler views, especially the Timeline view. We are also fond of your solution for data exchange between the client and server.

Did you face any issues when working with DHTMLX Scheduler?
Yes, we had some issues with handling multiple Scheduler instances on a web page, but we successfully resolved this problem.
Do you have any ideas on how we can improve DHTMLX Scheduler?
I would appreciate having a simplified way to customize the Scheduler toolbar. Right now, it is a bit complicated. It should be easier to add your own controls, like dropdowns, buttons, etc., to the header (toolbar).
Which frontend and backend technologies do you use together with our Scheduler component in your project?
Our software is based on PHP, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
Thank you very much, Lukas, for sharing these valuable insights. We wish you and your team in your future endeavours.
