A project means an application, website, or program with a unique codebase. For example, if your mobile and web apps have the same codebase, we consider them to belong to one project. We can offer you different licensing options depending on the number of projects where you are planning to use DHTMLX.

We do not restrict the number of your customers (end-users). We only count projects and developers involved in the development when offering you the most suitable license. Thus, you can scale up your app to as many end-users as you would like without additional fees. The only exception is if you decide to customize DHTMLX components to the needs of each customer.

Developers are people from your team who work with the DHTMLX code simultaneously. If one developer leaves your project, another developer can take their place instead. DHTMLX license terms regulate the maximum number of developers from your team who work with DHTMLX components.

Software as a service (SaaS) is a software licensing and delivery model in which software is centrally hosted and sold on a subscription basis. SaaS examples are Salesforce, Asana, Zendesk, GoToMeeting, Slack, MailChimp. You can use DHTMLX components in SaaS projects under the Enterprise and Ultimate licenses, under the Commercial license upon request. We do not charge for the number of end-users of your SaaS app.

The DHTMLX license is perpetual. It is valid for a lifetime. When you get the licensed version, you can use it forever. Meanwhile, each DHTMLX license has a support plan. Support plans provide you with technical assistance from the DHTMLX team and the latest product updates. Unlike the DHTMLX license, a support plan expires in a year.

The license is perpetual. You can use the licensed version you get when you purchase DHTMLX as well as all updates available during the support period forever. In a year when your support period expires, you can renew the support subscription to continue receiving the latest updates and technical support, but it is optional.
